If it had a cam, valve spring change, then the raised rev limiter really isn't an issue.
I know there have been quite a few mods done to that car, but they weren't half assed, so it's all good in my book.
Motor/driveline wise, I would buy it with no reservations what so ever. Then again I would be far harder on it than he ever was, so it really wouldn't concern me.

I happen to know as well that that car is modified far beyond the simple mods they mentioned on the site. VR knows cars like no other, and definitely went to town in terms of modifying that car. I won't go into what it has done since they might not want someone to spill the beans.
