Just bought a GT3 RS
CS Front - Rear: 225/35 ZR 19 - 285/35 ZR19
RS Front/Rear: 235/35 ZR 19 - 305/30 ZR19
On the street, I can get mild oversteer in the CS. I couldn't reach that limit in the RS without driving crazy fast. That's why I may prefer the RS over the CS for the track, although I'm not sure how the RS feels at those limits. The CS is very neutral and has minimal oversteer.
Regarding acceleration, I'm going to guess the RS and CS have nearly the same 60 to 130. I'll know for sure in the next few weeks.
Congrats. It's nice to have choices. I'm currently considering an RS or CS, and the comparison was very helpful. Hopefully I'll still be just "considering" them a year from now, but I'm tempted by both.
i know its a bit off topic but can some one tell what changes were made on the rs over the gt3? I know the wing and ext changes and I thought the rs was like 30mm wider but not sure. I also know they cut like 30lbs of weight is there anything else done and did they touch the engine at all? On another off topic question can a gt3 be ordered in the green that comes on the gt3 rs? What is that green called? sorry for the off topic.
Just bought a GT3 RS today. Outstanding car! Just got back from a long drive. Compared with my CS, I'd say it feels more solid and the steering is noticeably more direct. Two very similar cars otherwise. I couldn't resist the looks. Now I just need to find a few pumpkins...

As for your comparo, I'd agree with most of it. I'd have to disagree on the power. The RS is clearly faster than the CS and has significantly more grunt down low. What makes the CS feel so good is the lower gearing, something that the RS could use.....I guess Porsche wanted to avoid the gas guzzler tax. I would have gladly paid it to get the Cup-car gearing.
Btw, the new P-car ceramics are great -- better feel than the ceramics on my CS.Let's get together, I've got the pumpkin to go with your black beauty.

Congrats, Bill. Drive it in the best of health! Best looking Porsche since the 993TT.

I've only had the car for a day, so I'm still learning about it. I look forward to doing some 60-130 tests. I'm still breaking it in, so I couldn't tell for sure which was faster. Nice to know it is!
Please email me the next time you guys do a road or track event. I'd love to see you guys again. Fridays and weekends are best for me.
