After very careful thought, I have decided that I want a GT3. I really like the turbo but it just doesn't have, should I dare say it, "SOUL". Ever time I hear the GT3 exhaust note it seems to call my name. Unfortunately, the turbo just doesn’t do it for me.

Anyway, I'm about 8 to 10 months from ordering this car as I have to shuffle some of my other cars out of rotation. With that being said, what can I look forward to for the MY08/09 GT3's? Will there be a bump in HP? What about PDK? Is there anything else that I should know?

Lastly, I know that the GT3 is rare care and I'm willing to wait 12 plus months for a build slot. However, I would like to test drive the vehicle. What are my options?

Not sure if the GT3 will be in production in 12 months....if you want one make it happen sooner rather than later is my advice.

 

I don't know if they are even going to build an 09 model. I say get one as soon as possible

 

Of course the could also make a MkII with direct injection and 430hp and surprise us all.

 

Unfortunately I need to shuffle out my CL55 first. If that wasn't the case I'd have my GT3 already......

 

So being that there may not be an 09 GT3 model, what do we have to look forward to in 09 and beyond? What vehicle will Porsche produce that will be comparable to the GT3....

they r coming out with the new GT2 coming in Janury 08.....only a little over 500 are coming and i heard they are all sold

 

this made me sad for you when I read the post and the enthusiasm in your note....

there will definitely not be a GT3 for a few years...and I would think it all but impossible for you to order a 2008 as they are all sold out...

however, if you are willing to buy a slightly used one, that is a whole different story gladfully

 

I was told the same thing by my dealer, no more GT3's.

By the way, I was in the same position as you, Turbo or GT3. I chose GT3.

 

I'd be asking somewhere between $70K and $73K. However, that would be irrelevant being that this car is financed and has depreciated like no ones business. I'm going to recover my loses before I let the car go. That is the reason why I'm about 8 to 10 months out.
