What an great collection. Just curious - what made you decide to get an RS(when you had the GT3 already) and why not mod the RS(into a track toy) instead of the GT3.

 

The GT3RS was just something that came along and it was the right time. Just an opportunity that came up, but I love having the compliment of the two. As far as modding the GT3 is just to far into the the project to pull back. The RS will get some mods, it's inevitable.

Would the GT3RS be a keeper or you plan to let it go later?

 

Amazing cars Juan! Congrats! I see you got it from Excell Auto In Boca. How did they treat you over there? i bought a few of my past cars from them.

Once your car is fixed we still need to meet up so i can hear your exhaust already!

Kinesis 996, with the mods I've done to the GT3, they are not the same cars. The RS feels weak compared to the GT3 with the FVD headers and race exhaust, not to speak of the sound. The GT3 got the singlemass flywheel put in. Both cars are 100% keepers! I've never enjoyed a car more in all my years. The M5 is luxury on steroids (581 rwhp) and also a keeper. The RS4 is the one on the fence. There are no aftermarket products essentially for it, but its hard to get rid of a car that's paid for.

Hey Neil how goes it? I 've been really excited lately about the M5 project being finished. Awesome power, a real beast. At the same time I've been upset with what happened to the GT3. I'm told that Porsche does not have this pulley and it will be a while!! Unbelieveable is all I say. The people at Excell were very good to deal with, straight forward dealings and no funny business. No complaints. Love the RS but the GT3 has more power due to the headers.

I've been watching your projects with great interest, Juan. Are you also on m5board too? If so, what's your nickname on there? I used to be one of the more active members on there. Same nickname as here.

 

Atomic 80 thanks for the plug and providing the link for the GT3 pics. Yes I'm on the M5board. My user name is M5Ranger. The ranger is about my past as an Army Airborne Ranger back in '69-'70 in SE Asia. Yes I'm an old man compared to most of you guys.

Sorry to hear about your GT3. I unfortunately am bringing my GT3 to champion because as of yesterday, the transmission is making a terrible very loud whinnying sound when in first gear.

 

That M5 looks good from the pics. Love the exterior touches!! Very Clean.
