Pardon me if this is a stupid question. Could not have bought a factory RSR instead and therefore a purpose factory built race car? I've done these projects before back in the 90's. Converting a Carrera Cup car to a 3.8 RSR of the 993 generation for IMSA competition. Good luck with it all, it's a long road.

The obvious answer is yes. But in my situation there are many other factors that come into play and therefore this is where I am today. Would I do the same thing again in the future? No but hindsight is 20/20!

911 Design is a very reputable company and this is a great project. I hope to see everything go smoothly.
I still think buying a real RSR would a better choice though.

Gt3

You are off the hook dude. I thought I was bad, but could not come close to this level of commitment. Can't wait to see the results. Good luck with it!

Of course it would have. But there is a benefit to building this car. An RSR runs in POC GTA class with modified Cups and RSR's. This is a very fast class! My car will run in GT2 basically an unlimited natrually aspirated platform. The GT2 class is much slower than the GTA class. If I kick butt on Cups in an RSR big deal! If I beat the Cups and the GT2 cars in a GT3 woohoo!

This is the Jurgen car we are modeling my car after. It was a very competitive 3.8 liter car that was built from a 997 Cup

I agree the GTA class have some of the craziest car I ever seen. May I just wanted to see a board member with the actual RSR but yours will come close.

Couldn't agree more, BUT Grussell you are out of your mind and I know you and the people who work on your car do it RIGHT!

That is a hardcore build, good luck!

The Cups have a black plastic floor board on the drivers side only. It is a Motorsports part.

checker plate or nothing? and painted/ plated to color matched to the exterior
