383 WHP ~= 450bhp (15% drivetrain loss). Impressive. Even at 363 WHP stock ~= 427 bhp. Which is dead on with Porsche's claim of 415bhp +- 5%.

As far as the wheels goes, it won't do squat for HP, but will make a big difference in handling, braking, and acceleration.

Great work and thanks for sharing Juan!

GT3Ranger: Our rear twin Maxflo mufflers were designed to fit like the OEM factory "resonator." These mini mufflers will bolt right up to the stock side mufflers. I went onto the FVD website and noticed that their bypass pipes are not designed to fit like OEM since there is only one outlet. It looks like they offer a blockoff cap for one of the inlets for the stock resonator. In that case you should contact FVD and question why the side muffler bypass pipes only offer one outlet. The only remedy to make these Maxflo rear mufflers fit your car would be to either throw the stock side mufflers or Maxflo side muffler bypass pipes on your car.

Hey Joey here is a pic of my FVD exhaust. I do not understand the principle why they capped off the upper opening on the rear center resonator. Maybe the upper port on your piece can be capped in the same way.
I do not want to go back to the side mufflers, neither stock or aftermarket. The weight gain is not desired.
Anyway let me know if you think it may work.

It seems simple enough.

Juan,
give me a call today if you get a chance... I have some ideas for your exhaust.

Thanx

Power lost 51.7bhp for a RR 911?

That's a lot, I thought there are more HP on wheels for the GT3.

Turbo4ever, what are you talking about? What kind of DT loss do you want 5%. Well that is not going to happen. Check w/ honest tuners/shops that dyno and a stock 997GT3/RS are dyno'ing between 345 to 360 rwhp. Look at the numbers put down by Fabspeed, they are even a little lower. I give them the credit for honesty.
BTW what did you expect?

Cheers man,

TYE: If our dyno tests proved an increase in horsepower and torque with the Maxflo products, then why would a combination of two different manufacturers equal a loss in overall HP?
In theory it should not result in a loss, Im still curious as to see why FVD told Juan that it would. A combination of different manufactures parts dont always yield the best results, especially if they were designed to work as a whole system together. But in this case, I myself also would find it hard to believe if the addition of your mufflers (once the piping diference is worked out) did not improve over his current system.

hey abenglaoshi, yes the car is low and feels awesome. I have to be very careful driving around town. Going in and out of gas stations can be a pain. You have to become more careful where you go. I admit the car has lost some of its street characteristics and is more track oriented.

Cheers,

Thanks Juan for your post again - I read all of them with much interest and glad to hear you are gaining that much power! I can only imagine what it would feel like on the highway and the sound

Though I will never do most of those mods you do as it's out of my budget range, it's fun to hear your experiences.....

rick

Question about the Dymags: I get the notion that unsprung weight is hugely important in handling, but in acceleration and braking ? Can the inertia play such a large role and become noticeable on a dyno pull ?

GT3 Ranger:
1. Wouldn't your HP and TQ # be higher if dynoed in a colder environment?
2. Where did you get that rear spoiler? I like it a lot better than the
standard GT3 spoiler.

Cool car....I'm dreaming.....
