Here in Russia you might get a fill with something that came out of a dump. Not often but there is a possibility.

What happens if CGT gets filled up with crap? I know it has knock sensor and stuff, but still?

The ECU should re-tune to a certain extent .. I would suggest carrying some octane boosters for the bad gas stations.

Check out this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...light=octanium

Because I live in Bulgaria and here the situation is absolutely the same - so I know what you are talking about
My advice is: choose one "reliable" gas station and stick to it as much as possible.

Yep, thats what i do. But **** happens, huh

As for octane boosters... I dont think its octane which is the problem. Its excessive contamination with sulphur and other crap.

Hmm , some people here in Romania were saying that Lukoil has some good gas , they ran some quality tests to their fuel from time to time. As far as I know, Lukoil is from Russia and they must have tons of gas stations there.
