GTS-R is infamous around these parts
I bought a set of these seats 2 months ago from Arling (20C4S).

These are the best auto seats I have ever sat in. They look like they belong in the car as opposed to the stock sports seats. They are comfortable, although not as to the level of comfort of the stock seats. However, the driving position is ideal and the feeling of 'occasion' behind the wheel is improved.

The service from Arling could not be better. I had the seats in 1 week after the order. A big plus is the fact he constructs them for you. All you have to do is put the center cushions on and bolt them in. I am sure if Arling did not put the mounting hardware together and bolt it to the seat it would have added a bit of aggravation to the install.

I've got them in my GT3, too. Ordered leather, got leather with cloth inserts. (So this thread has finally explained why!) Ordered through Porsche of Huntington (6 Speed Sponsor).

I'll be getting the inserts re-done in Alcantara soon.

Here's a pic prior to the full-cage being put in for Carrera Panamericana.

Arling, correct on all counts. The RS only comes in the Clubsport package hence, no leather seats.

luiscarlos, yes sir. That's how it came from the factory.

Looking at the UK brochure on page 38, it's claiming that the ordered RS is available in what they call Leatherette/leather/Alcantara...

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf..._MY08_PCGB.pdf

Having visited the delivery center @ Zuffenhausen I noticed several GT3 RSs featuring leather seating surfaces.

There is a bit of confusion on the Clubsport Package, though. It does mention that it's standard on the RS, and of course it includes the fire proof cloth.

Hmm so it is not correct to buy this seats in full leather if trying to be very RS purist.
Lucent can you PM info if you have a set available?

Check out page 40 in that UK PDF Brochure, apparently it's apart of the Clubsport Package.

Leather w/cloth inserts, haven't seen that one before. It was my understanding that the Clubsport seat was full cloth/flame retardant material.

PCH, these leather bucket seats are optional on the non-Clubsport GT3 in the ROW market.

1) Seats for the RS - The euro spec for the RS is full fire proof alcantra, although the brochure refers to leather etc. I had to check with the dealer who had to check with the factory.

2) Porsche will do full harnesses' I ordered a set for the passenger side as well - £495 including fitting and taxes.

I got mine from Arling, they are really the best seats I have had in a Porsche. Great on the track, and I've done a 3 hour road trip with them traveling with my girlfriend, and their were no complaints from either of us. I did move my OEM buckle connector to the outside of the seat, it's more comfortable with out that biting in your hip.

Can someone please tell me what these seats are costing presently?
I heard due to the weak dollar that the price had gone up substantially.
The price I had heard was totally ridiculous.

Thank you,
GT3Ranger...Juan

Arling, God knows I've spent a lot of money on cars and their modification but $16,500 for a pair of seats is over the top.
