thanks alex install was a breeze. i started about 9pm.. worked really slow... read the instructions as i went along.. done by 12pm. then went on my first test drive with the bypass. OMG... this is the way the GT3 should of come from germany. again, i applaud you for a great product. this should be on everyone's mod list.

I have already gotten some complaints about the noise from my neighbors. This other time I was driving up and down the street with the windows down and enjoying the sound, it was middle of the day on a sunday, I had made quite a few passes and this older lady came out of this house, gave me a dirty look and went back inside. I then proceeded to leave the area, and had pulled in a discreet area off the street to take some pictures and I saw a "black and white" cruise through the streets. Maybe the lady called the cops on me or maybe coincidence. Anyways, this thing sounds sounds awesome but can be a nuisance to people that are not enthusiasts.

sounds about right but i think item 4 will cost another 10hrs of labor, thus changing the over all price.

What exactly is item 4? Been scratching my head on that one......

Fern, can't wait to hear your car - sounds like you know what you doing to get it done in 3 hours...impressive!

As for neighbors I have found it's better to "get along" with them rather than annoy them. My place in Fremont is mostly older "asian" couples with kids and though the kids love it, most ADULTS equate sound with "speeding" and it's just not a good idea to make them mad. We had a neighbor with some teenage kids who had their ricer imports and they also added that to our bill so to speak. We finally made peace with them by driving super slow around our neighborhood and minimizing the amount of throttle usage

My m3 still trips many alarms on the street where I live so I try to drive so I just go slowly around the block.
