Carrera GT in India
The Flying Spur is owned by someone on this board. But I've never seen exotics when I lived in Delhi. Maybe a C2 here or there, but besides the 308 that my friend owned, I never saw anything. Where are these? Bombay? Bangalore? Because they're not in Delhi.
lol thats Mostly New Delhi and Mumbai, but mostly New Delhi... I saw tons of Exotics while i was there over the New Years... I guess you have to be in "DLF" or "Central" New Delhi... i was staying at "Le Meredian" and saw a handfull coming to the hotel i was there for 7 days and saw quite a few...

I mean I lived there for two years and I've been all over Delhi when I was there. I lived in Vasant Vihar which is a pretty well to do area and didn't see any cars, and my uncle lives in DLF and I never saw anything there either. I mean the coolest car I remember seeing was an SLK55 and that was Rohit Bal's car if I remember correctly, but I never saw anything beyond that. Maybe it's changed that much in the past 4 years since I left.
This thread is awesome.
But yeah, most of the really nice cars have shown up in the last 2-3 years. And like others have noted, you could go every few months and notice changes to the major cities. I've been there every year for the last 5 and every year is a shock. There are a ton of exotics in Hyderabad as well. I didn't see any in Delhi, Bangalore this year, but in Coimbatore I saw an R34 GTR and had lunch with a guy who had a new E class and a Lotus Esprit V8TT.
And all imported cars are anywhere from 200-300% of what they cost in the U.S.(And they pay cash)
CR-V(base) 50-60k usd
Camry(base) 60-70k usd
S Class 150-400k usd
Gallardo 300-400k usd
Hayabusa 40k+ (used) usd
Cayenne S 150-200k usd
Murci 750k+ usd
Phantom 1mill+ usd
Maybach 1mill+ usd
Continental GT 350-400k usd
It's really an eye opener when you see nice cars there. Because you know they paid 2 to 3 times what they cost in the U.S. and they payed in cash.
