hey guys,

just wondering if you guys noticed the price increase at suncoast. yesterday i ordered a new front lip for my car (stupid curb got in my way ) when i ordered it last night.. the price was $189.95 each. now there asking $249.95 which is the same price as the RS lip. i was lucky enough to order 2 of them yesterday at the lower price. but, my point is.. how often and how high is porsche gonna raise these prices? i remember it was not so long ago when these front spoilers were only $150.

There's been a significant price increase in all things european at the moment, I'm saddened that the car/accessories market is impacted as well. Things for P-cars were expensive enough as it is!

I bought one locally in July and it was 140.00 I wonder if its a supply demand thing, thinking that the demand is high since the car is so low.

 

I think is a Dollar vs Euro thing more than supply/demand...

 

Yea as long as our damn dollar keeps going down the price will keep going up.
I even noticed my allowance from my wife had gone down.

its time to start knocking off these lips and making them here in the us..... LOL

 

it's all across the board.. a set of gt3 seats used to be around 7.8K and now they're like 14k... I swear it's getting beyond stupid

 

I remember these were about $80 wholesale. With crazy part prices like this it really implies that the cars are "disposable" as who'd want to deal with this once the warranty runs out and you're on the hook for some major or even minor repair? IMO, P keeps the prices of the cars lower to maintain market share but they're trying to make it up with "gotcha" prices.

 

so.. about 2 hours after i posted this thread.. i called up my local porsche dealership Fletcher Jones. low and behold, they had the gt3 spoiler for $156.89. WOW.. did i get lucky. not only was it a great price but i was able to get it today and put it on. now my car feels brand new again
