I'll second that. Anthony is far and away the best tech they've got.

The second time i went in to talk with a sales manager about a possible trade in, walked around for 5 minutes before i finally had to ask someone about speaking to a sales manager. But it seems that the general consensus is pretty good so maybe i'll give them another try.
Something I noticed when working for BMW at a big dealership on the sales team is that sales advisors (and the sales team in general) sees is as a jerk move to walk in and ask to speak to a sales manager. There is a system in place, and cutting out sales advisors upsets everyone. Plus, managers like to use them as a buffer and not always directly deal with clients. The answers and numbers are still primarily going to come from the sales manager regardless. Just an observation...

On the other side of the equation, sales advisors can be a little arrogant and make irrational judgements on potential clients in the dealership. It's a pretty fierce environment fighting for commission with other employees, and they are pretty quick (and unfair) in cutting out individuals they see as not being "real" in the dealership.

I'll second that. The sales manager at Stead is a friend of a friend. But I went to one of the sales associates to buy my car.

ah.. i see.

i never ask eric how much it costs to fix anything. they just do it and send me away in a nice big cayenne s loaner.

when i walk on the sales floor, i hate it when ppl come to talk to me. usually i know a whole lot more than they do. in fact, many of them call me to ask for info.

i figured, when i am ready to buy, there will be plenty of ppl to take the money away from me. until then. i will chk out the cars myself. after a while they learn and know you. gary no longer likes to test drive with me. drifting the cayman onto 101 scared the crap out of him... i am used to r compounds LOL.

I like dealing directly with the sales manager, because I like to deal with decision makers. The salesman typically has no power, and most of them are complete idiots and waste my time with false promises that they can never deliver.

When I walk into a dealership and want to buy a car, I usually know pretty much everything about the car and how much I'm gonna pay. Period. What the hell do I need a "buffer" for.

However, the one salesman I do like is Simon at Beverly Hills Porsche. He takes care of all my friends.

Post I know of a GT2 you can get your hands on for about $45K over. That's the least I've heard of anywhere.
