Adding AC to GT3 RS?
So why do you want the gt3rs? Is it because your track needs demand for it or is it for the flash and show that porsche is marketing it for now? Hence why this gt3rs is "softer" than the last (gt2 included). Its just a status symbol now.
I wouldnt be surprised if they come out with a more exspensive gt3rsr if the new racer wins some championships. This way they can charge even more and give the hardcore's a hardcore car again.

Since I live in Houston, I'm a little touchy about AC!
thats the exact reason why the hardcore cars are being tamed down are marketed to everyone. Its just adding to the dillution of the brand.
I'm confused. His 993 RSR is what's diluting the brand or the fact that you can get a street legal car with AC?

I do have a porsche. And the point is the diff between a gt3 and gt3rs. Why get the rs when the gt3 will offer everything you will need.
The old gt3rs was not a "comfort" car. But because everyone wants a gt3rs just because its an RS porsche put creature comforts in them and numbed it down. Like you said your looking for comfort on the streets in a gt3rs. THAT is diluting the brand. The RS models are NOT supposed to go hand and hand with comfort.

I would take some issue with you "old GT3rs was not a comfort car" point. Which RS were you referring to? A 1973 911 RS with a "Touring" package instead of a lightweight?

None of this is about "need." Heck no street legal Porsche is about "need."
That horse (dilution of the brand) left the barn when Porsche started making SUV's. Since what we are talking about is a street legal car with factory options what's the concern? Why gt the GT3 RS? Two reasons come to mind. 1. Because he can. Simple as that, heck I want one, I'm just not willing to let go of the $. 2.Because they are even faster than the GT3's.
