Peter:

Their website said MSRP was $111k which is what I based my offer on, the sticker I had them fax says $106k+$995 clearbra.

I offered you $97.5k for yours, and you declined. I wish you luck in selling yours, really! The higher yours sells for the better off my eventual resale will be, maybe.

In any case, as you can see I can get a brand new car for around $8k under MSRP. So trying to sell your used car for $5k under MSRP is a pipe dream IMHO. But, you can have the last laugh by selling it at your $99.9k asking price...

Scott, that's not quite the truth. At 8:50 AM Central time, Saturday 7/3, I sent you the email below (note the $107k price, and the clear bra). The original guy who ordered this car wanted the bra installed (I have one on my car too), but ran into personal difficulties and opted out of taking it.

Allen,

Glad to see such an online-friendly dealership. I didnt see that in your email, but your website does still quote $111,111 as the list price on the car -- I was going by that. I must have missed that part of your email, which is why I asked for the window sticker to be faxed to me (which you did today). I do appreciate your communication and probably would have signed on the line today if the MSRP had been what I thought it was. I did just send you another email, FYI.

Thanks!
Scott

Actually it looks like I got a bit mixed up on the MSRPs between different cars. Allen's email on 7/3 did indeed say $107k (tho this including $1k for clear bra), although the Motorwerks website says $111k. I got this mixed up with another car thats available with a higher MSRP (they're willing to deal too)....

In any case, GT3s are selling below MSRP if you look, unless perhaps you're in S. Cali.

Peter,
FYI there is a new GT3 at my local dealership (Crown in Charlottesville, VA) that has been there for a while and is still just sittin' there. Not exactly blowing out. If it was black I'd work them on price, but I have no interest in silver...

Scott, you snipped the context. I said "GT3s are blowing out in days" _here_. But you mean if it was black and your garage was finished and you sold your car first, only then you would work on them on price, right?

Yes Peter, it has to be black.

No I don't have to sell my car first, and no I can buy before my garage is done *if the price is right*.

In any case, sorry I misquoted, must be southern Cal only, someone from SF posted earlier that GT3s were going under MSRP there. Seems East of Cali they're getting closer to Invoice than MSRP.

Anyway the local dealer is looking into finding a black one for me -- I already told them I would only pay $3-4k over invoice, and they seem fine with that. (And GT3's have big markups, I think MSRP base is $12k over invoice or so).

There are 2 local new GT3s, black & silver for $15k over window - but they'll deal.

Personally I'm waiting for a 1k mi CS at 150k silver 140k... 420M soon.

I have decided to wait on a GT3 until my new garage is all done, so here's the one I was looking at. Peter I wish I could say you can get what you're asking for your used GT3, but I don't think you can, at least not east of California. You can certainly try and perhaps you will -- but I'm finding GT3's for well under MSRP out there.

MSRP $106,090 + $995 3m ClearBra = $107,085.00.

They are ready to sell to me for $99,000 with no other fees etc.
I actually thought MSRP was $111,000 which is what is says on their website, so I think $99k is too much to pay for this car -- I think $95-96k would be more realistic.
It's new Black GT3 with something like 46 miles on it.
Scott,
That dealership is semi close to me, so if you need me to look at it for ya let me know.
