Impressive, but you guys should check this up... Volkswagen Gol versus '08 Yamaha YZF R1.

The VW is prepared for 1/4 mile runs but it is a completely street-legal car. 1/4 mile record is 10.07 seconds and the driver (owner) says that the car is capable of MUCH more but that he isn't capable of blasting the car's full potential.

First pull is in third gear. Second one in second gear at about 50mph (80kmh).

Here is a picture of a stock VW Gol. The Gol is the most popular car in the country, just one step above the Fiat Panda.



This car, although, has the complete Quattro traction from an Audi S3 among other interesting stuff.
