GT3 RS Prices?

I have been planning the purchase of a 2007 or 2008 GT3 RS (white) however have been waiting for prices to settle following the top of the market premiums we saw in 2007. I have noticed recently that some sellers at MSRP +$30K or more have been waiting longer for buyers at this price point or have been gradually repricing to the changing market conditions. In the past few days #3069, a very low option 2007 Black/Orange RS with 1,000 miles was listed at North Scottsdale for $148K (MSRP + $24K). High bid on the previous eBay auction listing by the former private owner (item 230238255483) which ended April 8 was $140K (reserve not met) or MRSP + $16K. Another interesting example is #2627, a 2007 Black/Orange RS that Niello sold earlier this year with little more than delivery miles. This car just resurfaced at Sunset with an asking price of $150K (MSRP +$8K) and 1,400 miles on the odometer. This is a mid-high option car (PCCB's, Full Leather, CF etc). It will be interesting to see where prices settle, if they do, in the coming weeks and months.

I agree along the lines with the above...black and silver seem to be the least desired and less expensive than white, orange and green with similar options. Overall prices do seem to be dropping some over my past few months of window shopping.

i wonder.. instead of selling the GT3 and buying a GT3RS.. is it feasable to just get my rear fenders and bumpers replaced. that would be about $10k.. give or take..

much cheaper then the $180k RS price

Having just *seen* the *new* RS or GT3 I dont think its going to do much to drop current
GT3 or GT3RS prices.

Those pics of the 997TT with oem RS body are awesome. That is the IDEAL 911 Turbo! No side vents, emphasized wide body, center exhaust, not to mention better front bumper!

Ya and I'm sure you'll get every dime of that $10k back. We bought an orange RS for $32k over, put 1500 miles on it and sold it for $33k over. I love when people just look at the capital investment and forget entirely about every other factor in making a sensible business decision.

looks better than the factory turbo but i'd be worried about the lack of the intake in the rear quarters...

so your point is you made a $1K profit???

A car is a depreciating asset, not meant to be an investement asset. It's play money, so to speak .... in my opinion, ofcourse.
