Tommy Vercetti is infamous around these parts
I have the honor of already been smoked by one I have strange luck when it comes to stuff like that. Anyone familiar w/ the Audi RS4 Avant , never imported to US. Well I got into a knock down drag out throw down w/ one that was packing Foreign Embassy plates and had a big Swiss Flag next to the plate. I do not street race per se but this guy was after asking for it so... Tommy wasnt gonna get taken by a station wagon unfort I did. Anyway I was on the TurnPike about a month ago when I see a red something getting ready to run me over. I literally could not get outta the way fast enough and he just locked em up behind me. I then saw what it was and freaked. He pulled to go around me so I went into battle mode, shuting my sunroof, turning the HK off, active sport mode, as soon as he made his move to the middle lane I went to 4th and by 5th at redline he was just a pin point in the dist, I was doing 150 and going backwards in a hurry. Great car sounded like a Winston Cup car. I have since seen it twice and then noticed it was Greg Norman's. F'in aussie.

The Ford GT commerical was pretty nice with lots of drifts around the bends. Have yet to see a CGT drift in a video.

Found it.

It's okay. I like the shot from the helicopter in the Ford GT video better. It shows the arc and length of the drift better.

From waht I have heard .................horsepower and torque are up to 550 each and the car could be faster that virtually anything and everything dealer delivered out there. When are they suppossed to be shipped.

The Supercharged is Lysholm (makes superchargers for Mercedes Benz)
Tranmission Riccardo- makes transmission for AUDI R8 famosu company
Aluminum and carbon fiber bodywork make in the UK by the same compnaies that make Aston Martins and F1 quality bodywork
Dynamic systems made the suspensionBrembo brakes
Recaro Lear Siegler (sic) interior
--- .........its UNAmerican! LOL

Here is a LINK..........
http://www.fordvehicles.com/fordgt/features.asp

you can see all the options and equipment. Too bad its not $85K instead of $149,000. Dealers are asking 20 to $100K over sticker.

Hey Joe, do you have a deposit down on one of those too? What will you do if all of your cars come in at once?

It's a bad *** car for sure. I was seriously contemplating getting one when the hype dies down (and supply increases) until I had my last Ford service dept (04 F150). It was a miserable experience coupled with an unexplained (or owned up to) dent in the rear together with grease all over the tan mats, leather, and steering wheel. No way am I going to get a car like requiring monkies like that to both work on and drive it. When the GT was first announced, many said the same thing but I said BS. Well now I've seen the light and they are right.

The only saving grace is the dealer will likely have only one tech which is trained to work on the GT and it'll probably be the shop foreman or whoever their most experienced mechanic is. That's not guaranteeing good service but this should prevent them from letting just any joker in the service department work on the car. My $.02

Yeah. You don't want all the Ford Focus repairmen to get their greasy hands and overalls all over your GT too
But if I'm a Focus mechanic, I'd be the first to sit in your GT.
No foreman will be able to stop me.

Looking at the GT option, whats better? Forged or casted wheels?

This is true, I had a Prowler and they had one guy trained to work on it. Of course this guy was usually busy/ out sick/in jail etc.. so the car just sat there for for weeks waiting for the "ONE" to decide to show up. I heard the Audi RS6 is the same way.
