Did anyone read the Techart / Gemballa laptimes in EVO?

Much slower than a stock 997TT.

 

here you go. I think this one is perfect, all black and a bit smaller wing.

 

My $0.02:

-the 2 tone paint scheme is hideous - remains of some of the American cars from the 1970s

-the bodywork is too busy - like they welded part of a 430 side panel onto the car - almost Audi R8-like in its confused side, not like the beautiful design of recent Ferraris

-I like the back, but the grillwork reminds me of galvinized chickenwire

 

it just doesn't flow together..........

 

Horrific doesn't even begin to describe that abomination

 

Gemballa has a VERY LONG HISTORY of producing outstanding equipment. Their "Avalanche" cars are also historic in that context. The Avalanche cars are basically their "concept" cars and as such, have almost always been wildly extreme and over the top.





Let's face it.... owning Porsche turbo's is pretty extreme all by itself so when someone offers to really go over the top on the SAME DESIGN you have to expect some wild customers to come out of the woodwork. The colors are a CUSTOMER choice. Gemballa has guts to do this kind of a body but the customer won the ugly award for the paint.

 

It would look right at home next to one of the "Wicked" widebodies.....

 

Can you say CGT instead?

 

Exterior is just hideous all over. Interior looks alright if it would be beige/black instead of beige/blue.
Whoever came up with the GT2 name for a car that's got a tip transmission should be punished severly.

 

Performance is also not that great. 60-130 is around 11.2 (Evo Mag Test)
