Thumbs up Button Willow, 7/22/04. A track day in at 107º

Mad dogs and Englishmen are the only ones crazy enough to venture out in the midday sun, so the Indians used to say. Well, guess they hadn't met us lot!

The LA GT clan, with a special guest appearance of Watt's lovely new CS (the Three Legged Donky car as Mr RS calls it!) and a speedy M3 & Mini.

I drove for over 170 track miles, windows up and AC on, and the car never complained once; apart from a little smoke coming off the brakes. I am so impressed by my GT3, every time I drive it I love it more!

Thanks Jack for once again giving us a great excuse to play hokey!! (hookie!)

that poor little mini playin with all the big dogs

Did you guys keep track of times? Interested how the CS compared with the GT3/2/TT.

Did you guys rent out the whole track just for yourselves? Did you have cornerworkers and any sort of medical/ambulance? What was the cost? Send me an invite next time, i'll be in LA fulltime Aug 22.

We were running 1.20 consistently on version #25. The largest without the bus stop.

who is "we"? The GT3 and CS? What about GT2? TT?

EDIT: also what about PCCB the 360 carbon brakes? any wear issues?

Don't mean to bombard you with questions, just interested.

here's some comments... you have to decide for yourself whether you want to spend an incremental 100!!!! the critical factor for my daily driving is Ferrari delivered a "lightweight" car -- you can feel it in every bumpy corner and under accel/braking. for my roads and likes it suits me best. i keep thinking how great a GT2/RS would be at 2850#, or a "real GT3/RS at 2700#..... but the factory didnt see fit to meet my needs

Gee, I had a certain Blue GT-2 running pretty consistantly in the 2:11 to 2:13 range by my watch and eyeball method. I found this impressive as I know what a beast a GT-2 is on the track.

I know exactly what my laptimes were as I was running a HotLap Timer. Let's just say that the camber changes I made have made a difference.

Watt, i read the comparison vs. the GT3, what about against the GT2?

also i have heard that the CS is actually over 3000lbs curb weight and the numbers that Ferrari quoted were dry or something like that. I don't think they are really any lighter than a GT2/3 with GT3 seats.
