Question GT3 Clutch

Hi I just got my gt3 and I'm wondering if a brake squeak is normal when breaking? I don't have pccb and I've got alittle over 100 miles on the car. Also I know that the clutch on the gt3 is built for some abuse but I'm wondering if letting the clutch out on a regular basis of lets say 2000 rpm will put too much wear on it? I don't do this on a regular basis or anything, but I'm wondering how much more heavy duty this clutch is and if it can take harder up/down shifts compared to a normal manual transmission? Thanks

Rich, this isn't gospel, but the chief mechanic at McKenna's here in SoCal actually warned me that the clutch on our car is it's weakest point, and to be very, very careful with it. He said he'd replaced a few, and that according to their owners it didn't take much to break them.

I had an issue with the fluid in it, and that was when he told me all the horror stories. Luckily all mine needed was a bleed, but I have never done any hard starts in it.

I know it sounds odd to say this, but I actually always drive the car very gently, despite the fact we've just done our 17th track day together! I always wanted to race at Le Mans, so every time I'm at the track I'm imagining it's Saturday, 5pm, 22 hours to go, and I've got to do the distance without breaking anything. It seems to work well so far, 6,300 miles, about 2,000 of them at the track, and all's well, no all is better than well, this car is incredible!!

I'm running pagid RS19 pads, they do make some noise, but less with time. I like it, makes everyone around you in traffic pay attention!

I DO have the PCCB's and they squeal mercilessly! Under light to moderate braking but only when they are warmed up.

Porsche just switched my pads from yellow to black under warranty and aparently black is now the Porsche replacement. Seems to making the squealing worse.

The brake do work great so at least there is that....

I just had my car in for brake squeal, Porsche sent a memo to the dealer saying it's normal and did nothing, no replacement pads here, i have PCCB rotors and I am waiting for AP 2 piece replacements rotors.

Well, I have a little different issue other then just squeal which I can't really go into here. However, I think Porsche is right in saying the squeal is normal but certainly the level or amount of squeal is subjective.

Every GT-3 I've seen/met with steel or PCCB's seem to squeal.

My car in traffic get's a crazy amount of squeal, i like great breaking and have bought brake pads knowing they squeal and these stock pads at times are wright there with them, on the other hand no brake dust.

My pads according to the dealer had cracked and chuncked, the only way they stay on the backing plate is that they are glued on,
this is after one light lapping day.
