I don't know about that.

Seems to me that the early guys will try to flip one at a profit and then buy a later allocation with some new options which will be available for MY 2005/2006. Why would anyone seek to lose money on the deal?

I think it will be quite a while until it drops to $300k, that's the price of a loaded Murci. With the high production numbers it'll likely get there, but I bet 4-5 yrs+

i'm hearing:
- hard to daily drive due to small clutch and scraping everyhwere
-hard to service w/o hours

and i think it's ugly, altho' not as ugly as an SLR [the worst] or an Enzo.

300 is possible.... but running costs will still be very high

Watt, everyone says this about the GT2 but we both know it's not true. The clutch may be an issue but i have a tough time believing it is more prone to scraping than a GT2.

"but i have a tough time believing it is more prone to scraping than a GT2."

it is because while ride heights are similar, the distance from the front of the car to the front of the tire is much longer on the CGT.

precisely.

actual authority, the Porsche western VP, has told me himself how bad CGT's scrape, regardless of what ones believes in the absence of actual knowledge :D

I wonder if you could retrofit a hydraulic lift for the front end similar to the Murcielago

doody.

Depending on where you live, GT2 does scrape in many places, especially driveways. You can only go angle the car in so much...

CGT is definitely worse because of its overhang, but then again, I'd love to have one anyway.

I know of a guy who drives his almost daily. Now, that is a stud.

Sherpa Aug 10, 2004 10:34 PM

Everybody wants a CGT... only no one wants to pay for it!
