Whats normal oil consumption for GT2?

I've put 1000mi on the car, it had 600 on it when I bought it. It has used 1/2 qt in a 1000mi. What seems to be normal for the GT2, my GT3 used about only 1/4 in 3000mi. Does oil consumption decrease with mileage? Its smoked on start up a couple of times but not consistently. thanks carl

oil consumption seems to vary considerably from car to car. As long as you have not noticed any other problems or any leaks i would not worry about it.

Carl,

Time to sell the car fast it sounds like the engine is about to go at any moment.

BTW, I'll take it off your hands cheap.

I'll give you $130k Carl!

They drink oil when new, then settle...

My GT3 has used 1/2 a quart in 10k miles and that was within the first 3k miles.
