Lightweight Flywheel

For those that installed a lightweight flywheel and pulley on a 997 GT3 - did you have any problems with the shift cable or problems with shifting gears?

Right after I had an OEM RS singlemass LWFW installed in my 997 GT3 the problem happenned.
Driving along my temp went to the moon and I lost power steering.
End result the diagnosis was the crank pulley became undone.
There was no eventual damage to the engine. The pulley was replaced and the GT3 has been perfect since. The guys at Champion Motorsport took excellent care of my GT3.

RS crank pulley is alum
GT3 crank pulley is steel
the two cars also have different pulley bolts.
the torque on the RS pulley is much less than GT3 pulley.
also the bolt is NOT re-useble.

I heard about the pulley problems. Mine was replaced with the RS part. The engine revs up and down more freely. However, I don't have 5th or 6th gear anymore. When you attempt to shift into those gears at speed there is simply "grinding" (gear on gear tooth noise) and the shifter is pushed out of the gate.

Any ideas? Could the synchro's be improperly aligned or broken? Is there a problem with the intermediate shaft? Problem with the new clutch that is part of the lightweight flywheel?

Note, the dealer broke down my transmission, cleaned all the gears, and replaced a "detent" pin that was missing from reverse gear. Could any of this dis-assembling be responsible?

Wow I'm sorry to hear this problem! That sounds serious. Is the GT3 is the dealers hands?
I hope all gets resolved to your satisfaction.
