New Owner !!
CONGRATULATIONS!! And BE SURE you take it to the track. Look into your PCA region and find out what they have to offer. Do your car justice on this
learn the car, drive it like you stole it THEN start your mods. Seat time, baybeee!! It's a beautiful car!!
HA HA HA! I am in the process of getting my by-pass cause of all of the posts! I toured the HRE facility right when the HRE competition wheels came out and man, I went to bed every night trying to figure out how to justify buying them..... I LOVE those wheels.
Eat, sleep, race......

By the way guys, I have a question.
Porsche engineers has spent thousands of hours creating the epitome of an automobile. I don't understand how someone with a part's catalog can make the car any better. I see all of these things listed that have been done to your cars and I am wondering, where do you guys utilize these mods? And how can you possibly notice the difference..... I'm not trying to be skeptical here, but I am really curious as to what you do with your mods. Just curious here.
As far as I'm concerned, the Porsche 997GT3 is perfect, the way it is. And as their motto claims, There is no substitute".

Also you do "need" the C21's! No justification needed.
Is the bypass considered a modification ?

[/QUOTE][B]Aw gee DUDE, what a slippery slope this car thing is! I gave up jewelry and clothes for tires and trailors....The HREs were twice as expensive as CCWs, so I had to, you know, be somewhat "reasonable". lol. I need a part time job.

Eat, sleep, race.......
Yah yah yah..... I have heard ALOT about the single mass flywheel....What happens if you miss a shift....what if you spin the engine way to fast (?) I just think there has to be enough rotational mass on the crankshaft so that it doesn't get too much input and over react and over rev. How do make sure this won't happen. I'm curious. From my limited understanding, wouldn't lightening the flywheel make the car to rev up faster yet also could be a prelude to over revving..... I'm trying to understand this.

And yes, the whole idea behind the LWF is to get quicker revs. There is a slight learning curve but I felt right at home with it the very first time I drove mine. I love the LWF, its a perfect mod for me. You must remember I live in the country, 90% of my driving is on country roads. The nearest stoplight is 70 miles from my home.
