Congrats! on the family car

Fantastic choice, don't you just love the tourque & that v-8 grunt when you put your foot into it. I drove the C63 recently at an AMG event, what a great machine. Sorry to hear about your back, hope the c63 makes you feel better.

Nice car! I love my GT3 and if money were no object, I'd have an M5 or a car like yours as a secondary for those times when I'm in the mood for something a bit more luxurious and quiet. The RS4 is a great car too -- I traded mine in for my GT3 -- but if you're going to have 4 doors, the rear seats should be usable. That was ultimately my issue w/ the RS4. It's effectively a 2 seater so I figured if I'm going to only have two (usable) seats, I may as well get a sportcar so I don't have to deal with people wanting to cram into the back of my car all the time.

Old Guy,

It sucks that you are going through this. I just had surgery 3 weeks ago on L4/L5 and L5/S1. My L4/L5 was herniated 19, yes 19 MM, had punctured the Dura, and I had also ripped another piece of the disc off and it wedged in my spinal canal. They were actually calling other doctors into the OR to see it.

The recovery has been pretty good though. I am back up and going now so it should hopefully not take you too long to get back into the swing of things.

On the car front, it sucks that you had to get rid of the GT3. I saw your post on the M3 board and the response was pretty abysimal.

Enjoy the new ride and let me know if you have any questions on the surgery. This was my second on the same discs and I have done a serious amount of research on the subject.

You were AWAKE?

I would LOVE to hear what you have been through! It would make me feel better if I knew what was coming. Did you say this was your 2nd surgery??!! Physical therapy?
Please email me at paulgt3@gmail.com

WHERE did you have it done? I went to kerlan jobe but a friend from Rennlist suggested David Taylor in San Diego.

thanks!!

Congrats on the new ride, the C63 looks great. If you had to go from a GT3 to a 4-door sedan, this would be the car (or M5)

Great choice. You won't be disappointed with the beast of comfortable speed.

No Guarantees from me - but after your spine surgery you will be fine and most likely as mobile as before with no pain. That's what is seen in 99.9% of patients. Take it from someone who has had some experience in this domain...

Still, the AMG is a nice car.

Cheers - Gerry

Do you plan on modding it at all? It may already be perfect the way it is....

I haven't brought up Modding- @ my house, thats a verbotten subject.

NO It doenst get 10MPG in fact on the way back from LA I was getting 20MPG with a barely broke in motor. So that should only get better.

911turboS2 I met a guy yesterday whom has had the SAME surgery only on THREE levels and he is good and rides a bicycle which I used to do to keep in shape.
I wish he played golf so he could tell me I will be able to. I love playing around with the Wifey.

PM sent. I'm in same situation but probably not as bad since still have the 996 GT3. But, the pain is bothering me a lot. Looking for a good and reliable spine doctor around DC area.

Nice AMG, OG!
