Running R888's, doing mostly DE3 and TT with the RS, have been running a Grand Am spec 996 for NASA and ASA racing. like I said in my title, I am not an expert but we have been getting very favorable results out of the PCCB.

Suggested Adrift call my mechanic about a conversion because he believes is might be a cheaper option when we do have to get around to change out the rotors and he has been researching various options.

not looking for a debate, just trying to pass along some info.
OH, i just remembered that I am not the first owner of the car so we need to assume that the first owner had it out on the track before. If Shark Werks is reading this thread he might know how many additional track days might be on the first set of pads. Sharky this is the Orange RS that one of your clients sold to get his green one. (dont want to mention names)

In my case, it is because I was looking for an alternative that would allow to keep the same calipers and only a change of rotors and hats.

PCCB is the worst marketing scam done by Porsche ever and I'm telling you by experience (997 GT3). I know many, many other people that had the same experience with them.

Just the reality, period.
Why??

F1 cars have ceramic brakes. The audi diesel ALMS car uses them. Why aren't they good for track usage.

These race cars probably use "real" ceramic brakes. Not the laminated junk that Porsche put in its cars. You will have a more detailed answer if you read another thread on the same subject.

Those cars use carbon-carbon brakes, not carbon-ceramic.
