Thinking of Trading 6GT3 for 996 Turbo....

I love the GT3 for what it is but miss the practicality of a car like the Turbo. Any thoughts?

I went the other way.

986S -> Turbo -> RUF 986S -> now GT3.

For everyday use, yeah, I guess a turbo does make more sense, but I will still take a GT3. I hate the 996tt way over-boosted clutch and non-linear power delivery. But that is just me. Give me a screaming NA engine any day.

Don't do it, boring comes along with practicality IMO!

if you are not tracking the GT3 I could understand...

if it is your only car, could make sense

I would buy a ****box dd and keep the gt3 if possible...

Thanks for the replies. I'm actually thinking the other way now after driving the TT and my GT3 back to back today. The GT3 just feels more special but realize it's not for everyone. The TT was a rocket (with jet lag) although more practical. However, the TT is still a compromise..a great one but just felt like a very fast everday 911. After some more thinking today and talking to friends, I realize I will need to keep my old truck as a DD for at least it's a REAL practical car whilst also enjoying ownership of a special toy, my GT3. Thanks again.
