GT2 vs GT3 RS club sport seats
GT3 RS club sports seats will be cheaper if it was an option for the state side RS ... but it is not. it is absurd to think i might pay over $5000 for a seat when i don't even pay more than $50 for the seat that i am sitting on while typing this message lol.
i can buy a Honda Civic with what the new RS seats are going for when a $600 Recaro Pole position will do just fine. GT2 seats definitely have a leg up on cost but i have to sit in one and check it out in person
here is an interesting read on the GT2 seats: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/16/2...ds-best-seats/

the look and the access they felt great to drive in... i dont know that i would Buy a set from the factory ... they are way to pricey for that .... but they came in my GT2... it was nice being able to access back area for suit case etc. my RS is a pain to do so in..
i did see a 997S the other day where they dealer ordered the seats in the car i think they told me it was 3,200.00 option??? i dont remember exactly

I voted with my wallet, and just bought a set of 997 Euro GT3 (one-piece seats)
I looked hard at the GT2 seats but chose the RS Clubsport seat instead
-Better looking
-Lighter (its incredible how light they are, I swear the mounting bracket weighs more !)
-the proper seat for a GT3
Yes, they are expensive but will always be worth $$ used if you decide to sell
My $.02

Seats
The GT3/CGT seats are phenomenal. Extreme seats for an extreme car.
Complaints: Large side plates not hidden away like in CGT. They are not comfortable for an extended period of time. Not a problem for a driver loving the car with adrenaline pumping, but passengers usually complain right away. You can no longer get a person or large item in the back seat.
Benefits: Great driving seat. Weight-saving and they hold you upright and tight. Also, they are absolutely gorgeous, like art through the rear window and very striking from all angles. The GT2 seats offer all the same benefits and more, and are arguably as pretty for less $. The one thing they don't offer is alcantara (suede).
If you are considering a roll/harness bar, the GT2 seats with colapsable backrests would lose their purpose.
I'm having a yellow roll bar, Schroth Enduro harness, and a fire extinguisher installed soon. I'll post pictures when it's done.

With current exchange rates they are almost same price as Suncoast
