PCCB to Steel

I found a GT3 that looks interesting (too buy) but it has PCCB's. I want to track the car so that's a problem... Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to replace the PCCB with a steel setup (Porsche or Brembo)?

Thank you.
Roy

Track it as it is until the disk give out. By that time they will have come down to a more sensible price due to the 997 and Porsche using them in the Cup series.

A complete front set up is about £1700 fitted, I know of cars running Steel front and Pccb rear to no ill effect.

Just try it and see what you think, you could always use it as a bargaining point to knock the guy down a few thousand!

Still tracking those tired ole pccb! YeHaaa

u might PM metalsoild here as far as i know he's looking for a set of PCCB for his GT3, maybe u guys can work out a deal. as far as replacement, u can consider the Brembo GTR kit as well as the stock kit. also check out Gert's steel rotor replacement for PCCB at www.carnewal.com

See if PCNA will work out a swap for a set of steels.

Mr. RS

For those people that are using the rear only PCCB, do you know what kind of pad's they are using?

I am going with the AP rotors up front and want to use the rear PCCB rotor and I am tempted to use the RS-14 pads front and rear, but i am a little worried.

What do you think?

Use the Yellow Pagid RS-19, they are excellent.

To the best of my knowledge they are using the standard pads.

Hope that helps.

Try Steve at Rennsport. He is working on a solution using 350mm AP floating rotors front and rear.

If you want to swap the PCCB for factory steel parts... The front rotors are a direct swap with no caliper change required. The rears require the calipers to be swapped to accomodate the smaller size of the rear rotors.

we could swap................................

I have the front 2 piece AP rotors with RS-14 Pagid Pads and they are going in today, now i need to address the rear rotors.
