Does anybody know what the next gen platform designator for the 911 will be? I have no interest in a 7MK2 but will almost certainly be interested in the next gen platform. Will it be 998 as Wiki suggests? I though I had read otherwise at some point. I'm assuming 2010/11 timeframe.

I think you are correct.
But some people still call this 7MK2 "998"...

Never mind ... I should have searched first ... seems there are spy shots starting to appear. If find this shot to be dissapointing but will withhold judgement.

I love Porsches, but if Porsche wants to remain competitive (business-wise) with the likes of the R8 and GT3-R, etc., I think they're going to need to come-up w/ something a bit more radical in the deisgn department. Just my opinion.

nothing wrong with its timeless design, I never get tired of seeing a 911.

but it will need more hp in order to compete.
