Is that confirmed for the IMSA races? I have been dying to see that on TV for years. I used to go the F1 race at Indy early just to watch the SuperCup race. It was always better than the watching Schumi/Mika demolish the field.

Good news for sure!

Hey Fabryce, any changes to the WC car this year to fight the Vipers? I just saw the repeat of the Miller Motorsports race and the Porsche's got their *** kicked. Hope the rules are more evened out this year.

I know Daytona looks like fun to drive but man does it look boring on TV. I snooze through the 24hr race every year. Someone has to build a permanent road coarse down there that gives the thrills of RA or Laguna. James looked good passing all the amateur drivers.

I spoke with Colin from Cantrell. He is fielding 6 different cars. He race in the series last year as well.

He would not BS me. I believe him. He said Speed did pick it up.

As you know SCCA Pro regulates the cars based on how fast they are from week to week. Some tracks are suited for the big horsepower cars like Miller and others for the Porsche's like Laguna Seca.
The series does a pretty fair job about keeping everyone honest.
Keep in mind this Pro Racing and with manufactures involvement there are some politics so its not an easy job for series officials.

Porsche has won the manufactures 2 years in a row.. Expect the cars to be effected by this.. We will have to see how Sebring turns out.. And then we are off to do some racing in our own back yard. LONG BEACH in April.

We have a very strong team this year and the cars have been further developed over the winter.. The 2009 season will be as tough as ever.

We do look forward to the season ahead as we lead the charge for Porsche to secure another manufactures title.

You can see the entire schedule and air dates for the races on
www.world-challenge.com. Or better yet, get out to the track when the series comes to your neck of the woods.. Its probably the most exciting 50 minutes of racing you will ever witness. Not to mention some crazy standing starts!!

That track feels like a cross between Daytona and Homestead

Gents for 2010 all the World Challenge races are aired on Versus... They went to a 90 minute format now..
A much better production than the Speed broadcast.

Be sure to check it out.

I only started racing June of last year so at that point that was my 3 rd race ever and I did not have a race license. They make rookies start from the rear independent of qualifying times even though I had second fastest time...
