Removing Rear Wing End Plates on RS

I want to paint the rear wing end plates on my 07 RS, but both Ruf Auto Centre and my dealer say that, because the factory put thread lock on the bolts in the end plates, one of the two screws will not give. They are afraid to push it for fear of spinning the nut in the wing and thus ruining the whole wing.
I was hoping someone might have a solution for removing the end plates without damaging the wing.

How can that ruin the whole wing?
The guys at Champion Motorsport painted my wing endplates and no problem that I knew of.

I talked with Victor at Champion. He stated that his techs know about the problem and they usually just let the nut in the wing come out and then insert a new one and expoxy it. I need to talk with my tech and see if I can get them to do the same.

Thanks.

I re-epoxyed the nut back in...it has been solid for over a year...what a pain!
I did not use thread lock when I reinstalled!

same thing happened to my RS end caps as well. the inner nut sometimes will spin and will not allow you to remove the nut. but with constant pressure and using an iimpact gun, the bolt will eventually back off. then, simply apply some xpoxy on the nut and the edge of the RS tail before inserting the bolt.

you can dissolve locktite with Gumout carb cleaner. Just spray Gumout liberally at the screw joint over a couple of days, and hopefully it will soak into the threads enough to break the connection. If stubborn, remove the decklid/tail and stand it on end the allowing the gumout to puddle around the threads so it can soak into them with gravity.

I had the same problem when taking off my end piece but I'll keep this carb cleaner in mind the next time when dealing with locktite.
