My info is that there were 58 GT3's sent to the U.S as 2008 models.

 

Thanks for the info on the 07/08 split out. Can't fathom how lucky I was to get one of the 08's. By the way, it does have a GMG bypass.

I believe that 58-60 MY2008 RS units and maybe another 100+ MY2008 GT3's were brought to the US.

 

Gents: The 58/60 MY08 RS number is apparently a 'myth', although often repeated in misleading ads for used '08 MY RS to claim the extra rarity factor. Example: "Here is your opportunity to own one of ONLY 60 2008 GT3 RS in the US". The latter is an actual quote from a current Autotrader ad by a Porsche dealer in Fairfield, Connecticut. Max Power's superb 'gt3RS registry' has listed & documented 80 US MY08 RS! And he believes that 33 more MY08 RS were produced for the US market. So, according to him, "2008 Production Totals:113 USA"

If Max's numbers are true (which I tend to believe), apparently approx. 3/4 of US RS are MY07 and 1/4 are MY08. z356
