White works best. Then black, that's it. On silly yellow, red, green, blue, orange.

White shows up best in the day and is easy to read. At night it does not really matter, because it's to dark to tell black or white, therefore they work the same.

Love black. Looks more menacing. No problem in any light condition. White would be my distant second choice. Have black gauges and red belts on my cast iron rotor gt3.

Maybe yellow, but only with PCCBs, yellow belts and yellow deviated stitching too include the frequently missed "exclusive options".

I'm not adverse to gaudy colors as I've owned a speed yellow cab before, I just think the red/yellow belts and gauges look too much like you're trying for a faux racecar.

Just my humble opinion.
+1 Not really a fan of the red or yellow gauges either- a bit over the top for me.

I have always like classic, black gages. I have seen some yellow that look cool with the right color car too. I have owned several Ford SVT vehicles, which all have white gages, and although they always got compliments from others, I never liked them as much as black. Other people seemed to like them (white) more than me.

White black or grey. Colors look fun for a week or two then they date the car imo and detract from a clean look. Just my two cents. To each his own. To me color on the instrument cluster housing looks better because u paint that to match exterior. There is an orange 2009 turbo on cars.com that has thisan looks way better than red or yellow dials would have looked in an orange car. Again imo.
