Optional fuel tank

I've seen sales literature that suggests the European GT3 has an optional (larger) fuel tank. Does anyone have any inforamation about this tank and whether it can be installed in a US car?

Cup car fuel tank

I've heard it is 90 liters. About 24 gallons as opposed to the 16+ of the U.S. car.

Actual experience with 90L tank
