Question to Sharkwerks, and intoduction !

Hey guys! just recieved my 2010 GT3 "Carrera White" Clubsport package.

I have read the augest issue of Excellence magazine. Well there was something that caught my attention, they said that the muffler of the gt3.2 is exactly the same as the gt3.1. So, does the sharkwerks bypass system fit the 2010 gt3?

Another random question if anyone would know, I know that porsche made the duel mass flywheel lighter, just wondering if the RS flywheel would fit on gt3.2?

Thanks
ebo

Congrats on the GT3. It looks killer in white.

Bump for the Sharkwerks center muffler bypass. The acoustics are insane.

Thanks guys I really appreciate your replys!

I just did 450km in the past few days and the car is a beast. I haven't yet fully tested the car as I am still running the car in. Although, I did notice that the car had quite alot of torque between 3000 to 5000 rpm and going
but i usually shift at max. 5000rpm.

Some things any new gt3 owner should know:-

-The front lip is very low, but just in the center. I could go on speed bumps on an angle. BUT please watch out while reversing off a ramp as it will scrap the ground ( I did, luckly it was a very light scrap)

-If you opted to choose the gt2 seats which I did, I recommend just going straight for the lightweight ones. The only advantage is that you could move the back, and in a gt3 you will be greeted with either a carpet or a rollbar.

-If you opt for a clubsport package, the fire extinguisher is HUGE, if you put the thing in front of the passenger seat, the passenger will have a very weird seating postion. Two cures no passengers , or putting it on the rollbar which I did but something is telling me to just take it off. I will show you guys in the pics.

Other than that I can't wait till the dust settles and put more km's on the car. I will take some pics today in about 6-7 hours and post them.

P.S Pierre :- I can't reply to your pm as I have still not yet passed 10 posts. . I will reply to you soon hopefully

congrats on your ride and welcome to the forum

To answer your question ... I would think shark werks center muffler bypass should do fine on your 997.2 GT3 as long as the muffler set up are the same as 997 GT3. I am sure Alex will chime in soon to give his piece of shark mind

Quick question ebo, have you had a chance to remove your wheels yet? I am dying to know if the new brake rotors have 5 holes for normal wheel bolts .... or does it just have one large center opening like picture below? Love to switch my PCCB to steel 380 mm front and 350 mm rear rotors for track. Appreciate if you can shoot a picture of the front rotor if you happen to remove the wheel.

Thanks

Mike

Hey Mike,

I still did not remove my wheels, but I am sure the dealer did when removing the shims of the springs. I will go ahead and ask them if they took a picture of that, if not I will remove the wheels and make a photo log of the process.

Great car I am sure you will have fun runing it in. About the wrench to remove the wheels, do you have a picture of it? What does the owner manual say about removing the wheels?
