997 GT2 Carbon Sport Buckets Just Arrived for New Project GT3 RS

Seat Weights GT3 vs. GT2

We weighed the seats on Project "Angry Pumpkin". The OE sport seats in our RS tipped the scales at 43.20 lbs. with sliders. The GT2 seats in leather, CF, and sliders shave off 4.5 lbs. each, weighing in at 38.7 lbs.
The cloth version may shed a few more pounds. All things considered it's not bad for an OE Recaro Seat which is leather and has thorax airbags.
These seats are worth it for looks alone!
For the diet conscious GT3/RS owners, fixed back racing buckets will yield a 20lbs + savings per seat.

you sure about that? i weighted my OE sport seats vs. GT2 seats (leather with sliders and all except sub bar mount) and it was about a 40 lbs total saving for both seats.
