I'm pretty sure they're the same design as those. I don't think these wheels were designed with cosmetics, as much as function in mind.
That said, I love the car, just not the different color body panels.

Looks like someone painted the Mona Lisa with a mustache and scowl instead of the knowing smile. 9ff is great for engineering but short on aesthetics (the interior of the 250 mph 9ff has that ghastly gridded cloth pattern for the seat covers and dashpad). The engine was squeezing 980hp out of a 3.6L sequential biturbo six with special titanium rods and drivetrain differentials). Gemballa is another Porsche defiler of notoriety. Wish they would start from scratch like Koenigsegg or Saleen and make their own supercar instead of messing up Porsches.

the CGT is so good out of the box that i had to leave mine stock. if i would have done anything, i would have replaced the cams and valvetrain, reprogram the ECU, and spun it up to 9000 - 9500 rpms. i think the car could have potentially gained another 150 HP+ up top, but would have maintained the driving characteristics of the car.

why oh why would you choose those wheels? Stocks are way better. Put some nice center lock BBS and then it will be amazing.

Interesting article, pretty light and not too insightful but a good description none the less. Personally on the looks dept, I'm sure the black on the hood and doors are just wraps and I'd take them off. Wheels are hideous in my opinion. Other than that, I think it's beautiful (I agree about the chicken wire grills bleh!). Doesn't seem this car is really meant for doing anything other than enjoying in a straight line, but wow it will do that with the best of them! 185mph in 17 seconds to the Veyron's 18.5, that's MOVING! But I think this line from the article is ...

"Fatthauer launched 9ff in 2001 with a clear and omnipresent vision: to make the fastest Porsche-based toad rockets in the world. The GT-T900 is the result of a year's hard work, serious monetary investment and more than a few sleepless nights."

Tongue in cheek or perhaps Fruedian slip? lol It's not really that ugly, it retains most of the cgt attributes, so kiss the black wrap and wheels good-bye and a prince(cess) will emerge! I really would like to see some vids so we can hear it. As we all know the CGT has the arguably the best exhaust note ever produced on a road car and turbos usually hum them down a little, but as with the Ferrari F40, that's not always the case. I'd love to hear it! Any Youtube or other website videos of this car?
