2010 GT3 or 997 turbo
I currently have a 2007 turbo with complete Techart body kit and AWE 700 performance mod. Car is really quick however I am intrigued by the new GT3. Question is, will I be happy with the lighter, less hp auto? I had a Ferrari F430 and loved the rear wheel drive and the awesome sound. Looking for any opinions.
i also have an 07 997 turbo. am keeping the turbo and awaiting delivery of my 2010 gt3. i have driven the gt3.1 and a really badass gt3rs and can tell you that there is no comparison. the turbo, although fast in a straight line, is no match for the gt3 when it comes to pure driving excitement and involvement. i will use the turbo as my daily driver and the gt3 for fun. trust me, it may seem as though the turbo is fun, and it is, but there is no more viseral feeling than the sound and fury of the gt3 engine at full song and carving up twisty roads with at least 500lbs less to throw around. go for it.
mine is due this week.

Poverty Sucks! These are tough choices. I am not a boost junkie, and I would go for the GT3, they are more raw then the TT's. If you can be like 10GT3 and keep both you have the best of both worlds.

I called the office, but you were busy. Call me when you can.
I might have a buyer for your car.
My GT3RS is my preferred daily driver, and I share a cup car for the track. The 997 TT is a long distance runner, and with some minor tweaks, can be as exciting as the GT3RS (not as good as the Cup) at the track.
I would buy a GT3 MK 1 if I were you, pocket the cash and take racing lessons or use it for upgrades. The differential between the new 2010 GT3 and the older 997 GT3s with few miles are in the $40K range. There's not that much difference between the cars, the depreciation has already been hit hard on the older cars. Unless you want to have some special custom job, then you should be keeping your 997 Turbo in any event. You can always buy 'new car' spray at any auto store. You can also buy a low mileage GT3RS MK 1 for less money than the GT3 MK 2 - but I am not selling mine!
