2010 gt3 - took delivery in l.a.
More Pics.....
Exhaust install underway. Cargraphic Headers feature equal length primaries, mandrel bends, and a spiked collector box. When combined with the full Cargraphic GT3 Kit 6 System (Headers, 200 Cell Tri-Metal OBD-II Compliant Cats, 70mm Flappers), the exhaust system reduces the cars weight by 38lbs., and increases output by 23HP/13TQ.

A few "in-progress" images to share with more to come...
• Sequential shifter during install and wiring
• Sequential digital gear selector gauge pod integrated into OEM cluster
• Cargraphic "big black" dual exhaust tip to finish off Cargraphic Kit 6 System

as for straight line...the new GT3 does 0-100 in 8.3 secs and recently ran an 11.8@119.5 in the road and track road test. so its about .2 and about 2 mph faster in trap in the 1/4. its faster on the ring than the mk1 GT3 by 5 seconds as well.

re:exhaust. i still believe that with the exhaust install, the ecu needs to be reprogrammed to acount for the increased flow. in today's world of ecu's, every change should be accounted for in the programming to get the most out of any mod.
just my opinion, i could be wrong.

YES, i picked her up on thurs before c&c on sat. last week we did not have time for the agressive street alignment, 10mm lowering, corner balance. dropped her off today for these and also a light window tint.
heading up to monterey at o'dark thirty thursday morning and want her perfect for the trip.
current impressions. exhaust is unbelievable, sequential shifter is speed shifting even when casual. and the lightweight clutch and flywheel (24.7lbs lighter) take some getting used to, but this car is edgy, raspy and totally awesome. the clutch engages within 1/2 inch of the floor, requiring only that you lift your toes alittle for full engagement. lwfw make engine rev very quick, both up and down the rpm ladder.
i have about 800 miles on her to date and hope to have photos posted following mongterey historics. just been so busy with the new girl that i have had to parcel out time to do what's important to me.

one more thing got accomplished last week prior to c&c. we downloaded the factory ecu program to evolution motorsports, had it de-coded and reprogrammed. the ecu program is apparently nothing like the gen 1 gt3, it appears to be more like the turbo ecu program with the turbo boost area taken up with the new exhaust valve timing/lift function of the new vario-cam. we now have the evomsit program and it is one hell-of-a program. would recommed it to all.
to date, i can tell you that i would much rather drive the gt3 than my turbo. faster response, tighter suspension, lighter weight, and oh so much more involving.

Since the stock ECU program is nothing like the Gen 1, perhaps a quick roadtrip to Evolution in Tempe, AZ might be a good thing to do. Put it on the dyno and make it perfect!
Just like Sharkey did.
What exactly is a "agressive street alignment"? How does it differ from stock?
Just like Sharkey did.
Todd Zuccone – Evolution MotorSports Founder and director of EVOMSit software development, used an ECU emulator / EPROM simulator module to live tune the ECU on the dyno. This type of technology allows live tuning of the ECU for instant mapping changes as well as live monitoring of the various EPROM functions. This is the kind of thing usually seen in Europe, but fortunately, we have some great footage which we will be uploading soon.

as for the ecu and a road trip to tempe, az, i just did not have time to factor in a trip like that prior to setting off to monterey historics. as for the agressive streeet alignment, this adds a little more negative camber front and rear than stock for, as you know, improved cornering. just not as much as a full on track alignment.
next, regarding the sequential shifter. there are two main reasons from my standpoint. first, the ease and linearity of the motion which makes for faster shifting and reduced possibility of missed shifts. second, i wanted to make this gt3 mine, unique and more "spiritually involving" than stock. i am not one to leave well enough alone and i never have. i certainly did not want to start now. the install is perfect and looks looks stock enough, that at c&c saturday i had quite a few guys ask if it was a factory option!?!?!
as for the exhaust, it still has the sport button which actuates the flapper valve (cargraphic kit 6 with an enlarged 70mm flapper), but i do operate it only in sport mode as i love the sound of the beast inside.
as soon as i get some time, i will update my avatar with my two beauties. but with all i have had done, well...
hope to see as many of you as possible at the monterey historics. we will be leaving the la verne, ca area at 6am thursday to the trip up. i was able to snag 2 corrall passes so both the gt3 and the turbo will be there (parade laps too).
see ya in monterey.
