The race at hand is between a Jumbo Jet against a 997 Gt3 Cup car wich supposedly a first in Asia..

Not sure how F1 is related here..

I saw that car in T3 on my way to Sydney... Looks nice! Kinda ironic since Singapore is suppose to host the first flights of the A380 which should be the 'ruler of their kingdom'... pointless race imho.

What was the point of that? I could understand a fighter jet, but a cargo jet? Waste of gas.

Lets see..

The gt3mk2 was launched on the same day at the airport.

Changi Airport used opportunity to work with PORSCHE Singapore to promote the airport/Country as well as to promote the upcoming Formula one race which also includes the gt3 cup cars as support race.

I would agree there might not be much meaning to it after all but hey it doesnt hurt to witness smth like this tho. Kind of cool to kill an hour or 2 on a Sat afternoon to me
