Unhappy 997 GT3 Performance.

Hi, I'm quite new here.

I recently bought a K&N air filter element and Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers for my 997 GT3. My computer was also updated.
However, it seems that the engine performance hasn't improved at all.

Any advice ??

Thanks,

Luis.

With those mods, you should have definitely noticed a nice improvement in performance. Sounds like something is wrong.

If I may ask, when you say "computer was also updated", do you mean you added a performance ECU tune? If so, which one did you use?

ECU tune was done by a guy. He took my ECU, re-programe it and re-install it. He did that for several friends owning GT3, R8, 997 S, etc. and they were very happy.
Another option is to remove the catalitic converters and re do the ECU. Any experience on power gaining after remonvig the catalitic converters?

I don't think that the K&N Filter and Fabspeed mufflers are going to provide any gains to speak of, the ECU reprogramming may provide a little, but may not be noticeable. If the programming is done right and it still isn't changing try the system reset. Unplug your battery for a few hours, and then reconnect.

I would ask the guy which ECU reflash he performed and stick to one of the well-respected tuners. Serious damage can be done to your car with a bad ECU flash.
