Seat brace question

I have the euro style GT3 seats in my 996-3. The rollbar I bought has the seat braces but I was told that the GT3 seats are supposed to flex to absorb some of the energy in a rear impact, and braces are NOT to be used.

Any expertise on this??

TIA

Seats
Seats must be securely mounted and in excellent structural condition. We recommend identical seats for both front positions. Head restraints must be present and secure. Passenger seatbacks must be secure and their locking mechanisms intact and functional.
Seat-back bracing is recommended, particularly for race-prepared vehicles.
