Porsche releases lightweight retrofitted components for GT3/RS

I don't know if you guys saw this press release yet or not. Porsche is sick of losing money to the aftermarket vendors. Now they are offering carbon fiber bits and pieces, titanium exhaust... and some other pretty cool stuff to retrofit to the all 997 GT3's and GT3RS's! I'm sure it won't be cheap either.

Unfortunately, I think that the titanium is limited to the tail pipes. I'd like to see a Ti exhaust as an option though.

Not impressed. All cosmetic and not performance related. May shave weight by 2 oz but chop 2 lbs off my gold bullion

I'm with mikymu. I see a bunch of silly jewelry and nothing that will have a measurable impact on performance or weight. You'd be a lot better served putting your aftermarket budget towards tangible gains.
