If I put aftermarket seats in my 996 GT3, what parts am I going to need to install them?

depends on the seat manuf...if oem GT3 Recaro seats they will be a direct bolt in....if they are replicas or some other brand like Sparco you will need the proper mounts (some are available from Brey-Krause, C-Doc, Suncoast...etc...)...I went with the oem Recaro's...perfect fit

I have the OEM Recaro (aka 996 GT3 Euro CS) Seats, they were a direct bolt in with OEM sliders. I highly recommend them, very comfortable and pretty good price for a pair at Suncoast Porsche.

Don't the stock 997 seats have built-in airbags, and the 996 seats do not? What do you do about that?

The GT2 seats are the only versions with side airbags, the GT3's don't have them. If you don't have the airbags, a dealer will have to disable the side airbag system with a PIWIS tester.
