We had occasion recently to weigh the OE centerlock wheels on the 2010 GT3.
The wheels are cast aluminum and made in Italy. Very well made, but hefty.
The front weighs over 23 lbs and the rear nearly 28.
The good news is that there is about 25 lbs of unsprung weight that can be removed from the car by using some good quality forged wheels.
All you lucky GT3 owners have something very exciting to look forward to.
25 lbs less unsprung weight will make one helluva difference in performance.
