GT3 RS.2..no flex from Porsche even on decals
They are painted on. You can either read and believe the Porsche literature and web special on the GT3RS.2, or ask the 'volks' in the paint building at Stuttgart. They are not decals, according to these sources
I did see a 7.1 that was Black with Silver graphics. Thought of this for my car. It looked great. Haunts me to this day. I know I have a photo of it somewhere. It was the one and only 7.1 I'd seen with gray graphics [black/gray wheels]. Has anyone seen the gray in person. This looks to be the same color Porsche offered in the mid to late 60s. Was nice with the chrome on the early cars. Unsure how it looks without chrome. Appears a bit agricultural looking in the photos. I want to like it.
That could be the same car. Different location. I took a photo of it at a show in Germany. That combination would look beautiful with the new rear spoiler. I can't imagine these graphics being painted on as these are three stage painted. Porsche would have to stop the process, apply the graphics and then apply the clear coat. Who knows why they would make such a change after using stickers on the 7.1.
I saw somewhere that Black was confirmed as an option because of high demand. I agree the red would be Sickk! Great on the car. The other graphic choice is Gold. Although nice it has been on everything everywhere from Lotus [JPS] to TransAms [The Bandit - eek!]
