WOW...very cool. I love the deviated stitching but want to ask you why you did not continue the red stitching on the steering wheel, shifter boot and e-brake?

Wow, youre observant!! Not my doing.... Porsche is kinda retarded in this respect. You cannot order these in the deviated stitching... I have NO IDEA WHY!!! Im definitely going to have the shift boot stitched at a local shop.... the steering wheel and ebrake I'll just live with since they arent that noticeable. I had the same problem on my Turbo.

You CAN get all these items in deviated stitching by Porsche (Exclusive option, DAW, DAD, can't recall for sure). Sparkhill posted a how to recently. Also, XDZ would have filled the lack of leather and stitching between the front of the gearshift and base of the PCM.

I'm sure Dallas custom steering wheel could do the wheel for you if you still want to.

I didn't want to spoil your party, but now that someone else mentioned it, well... Beautiful car regardless, congrats!

Anyway you look at it, Porsche makes it VERY confusing on how to get it right. Youre right, the area between the PCM and gearshift can be done... had it done on my turbo and dont know how I missed it here.

All of the deviated stitching ordering codes are 5 digit numbers. I had all of them selected, yet I still ended up with regular stitching on those certain area. Here is the breakdown that I ordered. I have also confirmed in the GT3 ordering guide that this is all that is available. My steering wheel on my Turbo did get the deviated stitching, but thats because I ordered an exclusive option steering wheel, which I believe was just referred to as "thicker sports steering wheel." That then puts the steering wheel under the 09991 stitching option code.... I think....

Can anyone else shed any more light onto this confusing matter? This is my second go at ordering a Porsche like this... didnt get it 100% on my Turbo and seems I missed a few things here too...... why cant they just make it easier!?!

when i ordered my ferrari - they asked "what colors do you want this" what do you want for that?

Porsche makes this 100304848202 times more confusing

They should make it easier!

Anyway, check about 4 pages deep into the 997 turbo thread: Deviated stitching. You'll find some useful info and great pics.

It is confusing and frustrating to have the codes like they are, however.

Well, sh*t. now im bummed.... thought I had gotten everything done that I could. None of those options are even in the ordering guide. Not a big deal... I dont mind the steering wheel or handbrake.... and the shift boot will be easy to have redone in red stitching at a local shop.... oh well!

Looked at one with done just like this at the dealer last week.

They missed the same thing and it just grabbed my eye. I am just to picky for my own good as it always cost me money.
