PCM Ipod adapter doesnt charge Ipod??
#2
You have Nav and a USB port, right? Then, yeah, it should charge your iPod. It's the cars sans Nav (like mine comimg) that do not a charge or allow for control of your iPod through the PCM. Mine and any sans Nav car have only an aux plug in, no USB port. Of course, the no Nav car's w/iPod option is $95 rather than $440 (option 870) plus Nav for the USB and full iPod control.

My old iPod (gen 3) works great (plays and charges) with PCM using the straight cable with only DIN and iPod/iPhone plugs on it, even thought Porsche only refers to Gen 4 or later in the tech specs.
An iPod Touch works with the "Y cable" that adds the USB tang to charge the device while connected.
