Question What does FULL LEATHER provide?

Looking to purchase one of the 2010 GT3's still on the dealer lots. What do you get with full leather?? I'm trying to see if the $3,285 option is worth it. I have only seen GT3's with full leather, so I don't know what the difference is. Any info would be helpful. Trying to make a list of options I must have and options I could do without as I look for a GT3.

I ordered it for mine (enroute) and convinced a friend (enroute) to so the same. I feel the car looks and feels kind of cheap without it. I also feel that it has about 50-65% residual come resale time.

Porsche's configurator will tell you more, but it basically replaces the plastic upper dash, PCM surround, door tops and rear quarters with nice off-white stitched high quality leather. The option also adds Alcantara to the lower dash and door bottoms in lieu of cheap plastic. I would not normally pick Alcantara, but it is expensive to option and certainly looks and feels better than the plastic alternative.

Like anything Porsche it is expensive, but it completes the interior package of a $120+K car.

When I was shopping for a used .1 GT3, I cringed when if I saw one that I liked but did not have Full Leather. I would look hard at the car and try to convince myself that it didn't matter. It obviously does to me.

I believe this is the description;

Black Full Leather
Smooth leather A-pillar/windscreen frame trim, B-pillar and C-pillar trim, front part of dashboard including airbag cover, upper part of dashboard including instrument cluster cover, door trim including head airbag cover, front side trims and rear side trims. In addition, it includes alcantara door handle, door mirror, door storage compartment lid, extension of door storage compartment, center console storage compartment lid and lower part of dashboard including glove compartment

I think it depends on what you want to do with the car. No doubt, leather is nice...

Yup, I agree. Once you have full leather in a car, you never want anything else. Whether it be a BMW, Merc, Ferrari, etc.... It just looks great.

Yeah, had full leather in my turbo (which I think is standard) and miss it quite a bit in my GT3 But then it's a slippery slope back into wanting more "luxury".
